Kids’ Skills is a fun and creative solution focused approach that helps children and young people find useful and practical solutions to the problems they may be experiencing.
Focus:
-The 15 steps of Kids’ Skills
-Skill-building conversations with children -Involving parents and school staff
-Applying the model to emotional regulation, behaviour, confidence, friendships, transitions
-Case examples and role-play
Please note booking is compulsory due to limited capacity.
On arrival:
-Please arrive at 9am for a 9.15am start.
-Press the call button on the door; reception staff will let you in.
-Once inside, take the stairs immediately to your right to reach reception.
Reception staff will direct you to a seating area, where you can wait for one of the facilitators (Dr Gifford-Dixon or Vickie Taylor) to escort the group to the training room
Additional information:
Please note this is a free event, so lunch/refreshments will not be provided however you are welcome to use the kitchen area in the office. There are also food vendors within walking distance.
