Our Nurses support families, our researchers work to improve children’s health, our dedicated team campaign for a fairer deal and our volunteers and supporters know that 100% of every penny they donate or fundraise will be used for equipment to change a child’s life.
Childhood cancers, birth defects, accidents, diseases and infections can all cause our precious babies, children, and young people to face lifelong challenges. It happens to dozens of children and their families every day.
Alongside dealing with their disability, the sad fact is that thousands of children don’t have the specialist equipment they really need to help them. As a result, children are missing out on life’s opportunities.
Newlife offers a lifeline for families, providing life-changing and life-saving equipment when and where it’s needed. Alongside equipment, we campaign to improve the outlook for disabled children and change lives. We support parents, work with health professionals and strive for a future where all disabled children get the equipment they need and deserve.
They offer a range of services including:
- Nurse Helpline (emotional and practical support to families and professionals caring for disabled and terminally ill children)
- Play Therapy Pods (free loan of specialist toys to families who have disabled and terminally ill children)
- Equipment Grant Services (wide range of essential specialist equipment)
- Emergency Equipment Loans (free loan of equipment, which can help a child in crisis)
