Parklands House on the Royal Oldham Hospital site has a number of adult inpatient mental health services, run by Pennine Care.
On the first floor are two 22-bed single-gender wards, Aspen Ward and Oak Ward.
We have a fully equipped gym, relaxation room (snoozelum), therapy room, laundry and a family visiting room.
On the ground floor there is an occupational therapy kitchen and a separate unit to accommodate individuals brought in under section 136 of the Mental Health Act.
Aspen Ward is an adult inpatient ward, providing specialised care for females with a variety of mental health needs.
Oak Ward is an inpatient mental health ward, caring for all male patients with acute/chronic mental health illness.
We provide a therapeutic space off the ward which includes a fully equipped gym, a newly-equipped sensory room and creative therapy room for everyone to use.
Our team provides round the clock care and is made up of:
- Nurses and nursing assistants
- Occupational therapist and technical instructors
- Recovery inclusion workers
- Medical staff
- Psychologist
- Pharmacist
